Give your mind a focus and that’s what you’ll see.
Give your mind a belief and that’s what it will find evidence for.
Check out this amazing video below.
I saw a similar video a couple of years ago with a group of about 20 people. All of us were counting, intently, attentively, conscientiously. All of us were extremely focused on the white team. None of us saw the bear cruising through.
And that’s how it works in life as well.
If you think you are not good enough, that’s what you’ll find proof of everywhere. Even though you got that university degree. Even though you nailed that presentation. Even though you just got promoted.
If you think people don’t like you, that’s what you’ll find proof of everywhere. Even though your colleague thinks you’re inspiring. Even though your friends love you. Even though your family adores you.
If you think you will never succeed, that’s what you’ll find proof of everywhere. Even though you just ran that marathon. Even though you wrote your first book. Even though you have a successful business.
If you think you are stuck, that’s what you’ll find proof of everywhere. Even though you just returned from your third holiday this year. Even though you delivered that project at work. Even though you go golfing each week.
You just don’t appreciate how good you are. You just don’t notice the wonderful people in your life. You just don’t value your successes. You just don’t realise what you got going for you.
What belief are you holding in your mind? What proof is your mind gathering? And what are you not noticing in your life because your mind is focused on finding evidence for that belief?
