But the truth is, you do.
You just temporarily forgot.
You just temporarily got off track of what you’re truly capable of.
You just temporarily lost sight of all that you’ve got in you.
Your creativity and resourcefulness.
Your persistence and determination.
Your contagious laughter and your natural charm.
Your savvy and smart.
Your achievements and accomplishments.
Your commitment and drive.
Your unique views.
Your brilliant ideas.
Your one-of-a-kind work and way of doing things.
And yes, it’s not all perfect.
And yes, it’s sometimes harder than you thought it would be.
And yes, the result is not always what you wanted it to be.
But that’s not a reason to dismiss it all.
That’s not a reason to dismiss the actions you took and the effort you put in.
That’s not a reason to dismiss your work as not good enough and therefore worthless.
That’s not a reason to dismiss your strengths and talents as plain and useless.
And it’s not a reason to dismiss you.
It’s not a reason to dismiss you as being wrong.
It’s not a reason to dismiss you as a hopeless failure.
It’s not a reason to dismiss you as deeply flawed.
Because truth is - you aren’t.
You are creative and resourceful.
You are persistent and determined.
You are effortlessly charming – even though you might not realise it.
You are savvy and smart.
You achieved so much more than you give yourself credit for.
You are committed and driven.
You have unique views that are worth sharing.
You have brilliant ideas that are worth seeing the light of day.
You have a one-of-a-kind way of doing things that is dying to come out.
So let it.
You’ve got what it takes.
Do what it takes.
And you’ll prove to yourself
that you are capable of so much more
than you give yourself credit for.
