I should stop doubting myself.

I should stop feeling insecure.

I should stop feeling stuck.

And every time we say that,

we confirm to ourselves that we’re full of doubt, insecure and stuck.

And that we’re wrong for feeling that way.

I’m doubting myself. And it’s ok to doubt myself.

I’m feeling insecure.  And it’s ok to feel insecure.

I’m feeling stuck.  And it’s ok to feel stuck.

And every time we say that,

we confirm to ourselves that we’re full of doubt, insecure and stuck.

But that it’s ok for us to feel that way.

Every time we say that,

we confirm to ourselves that we truly accept and see ourselves,

the way we are – not the way we think we should be.

And that’s when we create the grounded space

for really exploring our doubts, insecurity and stuckness,

because there are no right or wrong answers – but just what’s true for us in this moment.

And that’s when we find that empowering peace of mind

to see what we’ve got going for us, our strengths and accomplishments,

the abundant possibilities, our creativity and resourcefulness.

And that’s when we tap into that liberating energy

that inevitably starts bubbling up,

to uncover the next action to take.

And that’s when we start walking,

with that joyful spring in our step,

for we just shed the tons of self-criticism we were unwillingly lugging around.

Because it’s by dropping the shoulds,

and allowing what’s true for us in this moment,

that we do change the next.

Thank you, this is exactly what I needed today. I’m feeling insecure and upset with myself for feeling insecure. Double trouble. Just saying out loud, “It’s okay to feel this way”, made me feel better…almost positive. Thanks!
